Native to the rainforests of South America, particularly Brazil, it thrives in warm, humid environments with well-draining soil and indirect light.

This species is an epiphytic climber, meaning it naturally grows on trees, using aerial roots to support itself. In cultivation, it benefits from a moss pole or other structure to climb. Like most Philodendrons, it prefers high humidity, moderate watering, and temperatures between 18–30°C. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so well-aerated soil is essential.
