Description

This resilient pasture mix is ideal for challenging sites with poor drainage, high alkalinity, or salinity. It features Martin Tall Fescue (endophyte free) for dependable biomass, along with nitrogen-fixing legumes—Strawberry clover, Alfalfa, and Birdsfoot trefoil—for improved soil fertility and forage quality. Growing up to 3.5 feet tall, this blend offers strong persistence and adaptability in tough conditions. Germinates reliably and competes well with weeds once established. Nitrocoated seed requires no inoculant. Apply at 0.5–1.0 lb per 1,000 sq ft, or broadcast at 30 lb/acre and drill at 25 lb/acre. Best planted in fall for cool-season growth and long-term pasture improvement.

Note to Certified Organic Growers from Manufacturer: Nitro-coated seed is conventionally grown seed that has had an organically accepted seed coating applied to it. The seed itself is conventionally grown, non-GMO, and untreated (no fungicides or insecticide seed treatment applied) prior to coating. The seed coat consists of certified organic powdered limestone, an organically approved binder (glue), and peat peat-based inoculant that is also OMRI-approved and organically accepted. The seed coating is applied in a OMRI-approved process in a separate treatment line that only produces Nitro-coated seeds.
