Description
Where clover meets grass seed
Lucky Lawn is a seed blend comprised of tall fescue, fine fescue, and 5% microclover. The clover fixes nitrogen from the air, helping to feed your grass so you need less fertilizer. It handles shade, drought, and heat. Pair with a granular feed when overseeding or starting fresh.
What makes Lucky Lawn Grass Seed different
- 99.9% weed-free, no surprises in your soil
- 85% germination rate, above industry average
- Clover fixes nitrogen and feeds your grass
- Handles heat, drought, shade, and foot traffic
- A-LIST approved for quality and lower maintenance
- Works with any cool-season lawn or grass type
Ingredients
Tall fescue. Deep roots that hold up in heat and drought. This is the backbone of the blend, giving your lawn structure and staying power.
Fine fescue. Thrives in shade and low-nutrient soil where other grasses give up. Adds density and a softer feel underfoot.
Microclover (5%). A compact clover that spreads into thin spots and fixes nitrogen from the air, turning it into food your grass can actually use. Stays low, supports pollinators, and fills in where grass struggles.
How to use
Plant in spring or fall when temperatures are between 55 and 75 degrees F. You can also do dormant seeding in winter when temps are below 40 degrees F.
- Pick your rate. Use 2 lbs per 1,000 sq ft for overseeding. Use 5 lbs per 1,000 sq ft for new lawns or heavy repair.
- Set your spreader low. Start at the lowest setting and make multiple passes for even coverage.
- Water right away. Give the seed a good soak after applying.
- Keep it moist. Water lightly and often to keep the seed damp (not soaked) until you see germination, usually 3 to 12 days.
- Be patient. Full establishment takes 1 to 3 weeks. Resist the urge to walk on it too soon.
