Kentucky’s Best contains no chemical active ingredients. It’s a blend of four premium grass varieties:

Kentucky bluegrass (2 types): Delivers deep emerald color, thick density, and self-spreading growth that fills gaps and bare spots over time

How to use

Plant in spring or fall when temps are between 55 to 75 degrees F, or try dormant seeding in winter below 40 degrees F.

1. Choose your timing. Spring and fall give you the best window. Winter dormant seeding works too if temps stay below 40 degrees F.
2. Apply at 2 lbs per 1,000 sq ft. This rate works for both overseeding and new lawns.
3. Use a spreader at the lowest setting. Walk at a steady, consistent pace for even coverage.
4. Keep seed moist, not soaked. Water lightly and regularly until germination, which takes 1 to 3 weeks. Patience here pays off.
