Description

Alcea pallida, Turkish hollyhock, is a supposedly disease resistant, perennial hollyhock.  Pale pink single flowers contrast perfectly against the lovely deep green foliage with silver undersides. 

Like all hollyhocks, it is happiest in full sun with fertile soil. A top dressing of compost would do it a world of good. 

Note: We love hollyhocks! Unfortunately, our farm was hit hard by rust in summer 2024. A. pallida, A. rugosa, and A. taurica are supposedly resistant. If that proves true, we will ship them in fall 2025. If not, we will keep searching until we find a variety that we can grow without issue.
