Ingredients

Tall fescue, a deep-rooted cool-season grass that handles heat, drought, and heavy foot traffic while staying green longer into summer.
Fine fescue, a fine-bladed grass that thrives in shade and low-fertility soils, filling in where other grasses thin out.
Microclover (5%), a low-growing clover that pulls nitrogen from the air and feeds it directly to your grass. Establishes quickly, spreads where grass struggles, and mixes well with fescues and Kentucky bluegrass.

How to use

Plant when daytime temperatures are between 55 and 75 degrees F, or dormant seed in winter when temps stay below 40 degrees F.

1. Prep your soil. Rake the area to loosen the top layer and remove debris.
2. Spread the seed. Use 2 lbs per 1,000 sq ft for overseeding or 5 lbs per 1,000 sq ft for new lawns.
3. Make good contact. Lightly rake seed into the soil so it sits just below the surface.
4. Water consistently. Keep the seeded area moist (not soaked) until germination, which takes 3 to 12 days.
5. Hold off on mowing. Wait until new grass reaches about 3 inches before the first cut.
